Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sohna, Siddharthnagar came into existence on the year 1992-93 under the adminitrative control of a NGO “ Leond Tal Area Development Society”. Late Sri Bhanu Pratap Singh Ex. Governor was the president of Leond Tal Area Development Society and he is the founder member of the KVK. Dr. Akhtar Husain was the first Training Organiser of the kvk under his guidance KVK Got popularity through the shier hard work among the farmers. During 2002 this KVK shifted to the administrative control of Nerendra Dev University Agriculture & Technology Kumarganj, Faizabad and since then KVK is running under the rule and regulation of the University .Presently Dr S.k. Tomar is working as Programme Coordinator of the KVK.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra is located in the Bhanwapur block of district Siddharthnagar which is 70 km far from the district head quarter. The district Siddharthnagar is administratively divided into 5 tahsils and 14 blocks. It lies under north eastem plain Zone-7. The district is covered on the north by Nepal country, on the east by Mahrajganj and Gorakhpur district on the south by Basti district and on the west by Balrampur. Siddharthnagar is agriculturally and socially one of the most under developed district of the state. Before incitation of KVK the average yield of the most of the crops of the district was below the national and state average but after establishment of KVK yield of the most crops increased tremendously.
